Individual sessions are for those who feel an internal nagging question(s).  Usually, individuals come in with questions about how they feel about themselves, their relationships, and the direction of their lives.  Sound familiar?  It probably does because this is the human condition.  Individual counseling is for inner exploration, clearing confusion about the past, and making sense of the life you have today.  Want to change the life you have today?   I can help you do that.

Let’s be frank; if you could make these changes on your own, you would have already done so.  Change is very hard to do on your own, although some is possible.  I’m talking about the internal changes, the deep structural changes that last and redefine how you approach yourself and your relationships.  It is often necessary to start by exploring your relationship with yourself.  When you have a more satisfying and compassionate relationship with yourself, your life will feel much more rewarding and relating to others will feel easier.

Individuals often start with something like these:

My life is really good, why don’t I feel good?

I’m exhausted from trying to keep up.

Everybody seems happier than me, what am I missing?

Is this depression?

I’m really lonely but I’m too embarrassed to tell my friends.

I just don’t know what to do to feel better.

I feel empty inside.  There must be something wrong with me.
